a different type of project

What do you do on a sunny Saturday afternoon: your wife and kids are out, the grand final is on the tv, and there’s a single beer in the fridge?

Why make a desk caddy for your markers of course! It’d been in planning for a little while, but I’d expected to do it in dribs and drabs over weeks. I went for broke, using my toolbox as a workbench and my foot as the vice, and getting a couple of coats of paint dry in the sun. $4 for a couple of melamine cups and some electrical conduit, combined with some house build offcuts and 4 hours of labour… not sure if it’s a bargain!

Very satisfying to finish, and now I have a caddy that does exactly what I want it to. Better do some drawing to use it.
